Admission: Students are selected and admitted to the Programme based on their academic results, prerequisite requirements, motivation and language skills. The selection is carried out in collaboration between the Parties. Prerequisite for the mobility is that the student has successfully completed a sufficient number of credits at UPC.Students willing to participate in the Programme shall apply to UPC. The latter will be in charge of pre-screening applications considering the students’ academic results, motivation and command of French and English. Once preselected, students shall apply to HEC Paris through the latter’s online platform. Application shall be submitted along with the following documents:

  • 2 on line recommendations form professors

This list may be amended from time to time by HEC Paris. 
HEC Paris will then screen these applications as it would do for any regular student. It shall, at its sole discretion, decide on the final admission of each preselected student and reserves the right to refuse any pre-selected candidate who does not fit with the criteria of academic excellence and personal profile corresponding to its own degree.
Control of results: At the end of the academic year, HEC Paris shall send to UPC a copy of each student’s transcript in English. The Parties agree that exams/courses shall be graded and awarded credits according to the rules of the institution where the exam/course is carried out.
Conditions to be awarded with DD: Each institution decides, according to its own criteria and under the terms set out in this agreement, if the student is entitled to receive a degree. Each institution grants the student credit transfer from the other institution according to the applicable rules, laws and regulations of that institution.
Legal and social obligations: Students participating under this agreement shall be subject to the rules and regulations of the host institution during the entire duration of their stay. They will also have the rights and privileges enjoyed by other students enrolled at the host institution.
Material terms: During both years at HEC Paris, students shall pay tuition and associated fees to both UPC and HEC Paris, for their respective degrees. There shall be no exchange of funds between the Parties.
Students shall be personally responsible for all non-tuition costs, including but not limited to accommodation, books, equipment, insurance (including travel and health insurance), medical expenses, travel, personal expenses, and visas.

- Those accepted who wish to complete the program in 12 months must inform their IIT academic adviser at their first meeting so that an appropiate schedule can be planned.

In principal, as the standard course of study, the students are expected to complete five years of studies in the home institution in total. The host institution will then demand as a minimum one year (60 ECTS-credits) of courses plus the Final degree project, all specified in an individual Learning Agreement. This amount of studies is expected to fulfill the requirements of the degrees on both sides.

 

It is a requisite to do the subject "Introduction to Research" minimum 5ECTS before doing this Double Degree.

 

Prerequisite language courses are not counted within this frame of studies.

Languages:

KTH does not ask for any result from official language tests, however we strongly recommend that students applying for exchange studies at KTH have a proficiency of English equivalent to the European B2 level.

 

Swedish language courses:
The Language and Communication Division at KTH offers Swedish language courses free of charge for exchange students. An Intensive Swedish language course on the elementary level starts in early August at KTH campus. During the academic year Swedish language courses are offered along with the rest of the major studies. The course catalogue for Swedish language courses is available in March.
The Swedish courses are divided into different levels. If the student has some previous knowledge of Swedish, it is compulsory to make a placement test to establish course level. It is an interactive, Internet based test, which gives the students an immediate result. Read more about the placement test
Application deadline:

- The parties shall agree on the application procedure, including application deadlines, selection criteria and student quota. They will be defined in the appendices.

- The students must meet the admission criteria of the Master’s programmes of both institutions.

- Students shall have a home institution and a host institution defined. 
- Prerequisite for the mobility is that the student has successfully completed a sufficient number of credits at the home institution. 
- No tuition fees are required at the host institution for students participating in the Programme. All students must pay the ETSETB-UPC diploma issue fee .

Control of results: At the end of the academic year, the host institution shall send to the home institution a copy of each student’s transcript in English. The parties agree that exams/courses shall be graded and awarded credits according to the rules of the institution where the exam/course is carried out. If a student does not earn all of the required credits at the host institution within the established period, he/she has the possibility to extend this period for one additional semester in order to fulfil all the required credits only if both academic responsibles for each institution agree with it.
Conditions to be awarded with DD: Each institution grants the student credit transfer from the other institution according to the applicable rules, laws and regulations of that institution. Students successfully completing their studies of the Master’s Degree Programme obtain two degrees, one issued by the home institution and one issued by the host institution. In order to be awarded the UPC master’s degree, students must obtain at least 60 ECTS in the UPC master’s programme.
Legal and social obligations: Students participating under this Agreement shall be enrolled as degree students. Students shall have the same rights and obligations as degree students in the respective institutions. Students participating in the Programme will be entitled to participate in any introductory programme that may customarily be arranged for international students at the host institution.

  • Curriculum vite updated no more than 4 pages.
  • Copy of the identity card and passport.
  •  Current employment.
  • Two recent passport size photographs. (scanned photos will not be accepted).
  • Essay of maximum 6 pages on research topic.
  • Pay the cost of pre-registration to the institution designated by UCAB.
  • A transcript of the student's records including courses and marks (submit the original).
  • Other studies.
  • A completed application form: consign the collection in the institution office designated by UCAB.

This list may be amended from time to time by UCAB.
